Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be Saturday, the 20th of February, 1:00PM, and will be held at Round Table Pizza, Silverdale.

Little Anderson Creek Coho Project

Thanks to our volunteers: Dan and Simon Anderson, Frank and Mike Stricklin, Chris Raymaker, Ron Kropp, Jason and Tanner Leib, Jessica, Arayah and Cooper Campbell, and Bill Caldwell. Go to the Special Projects page for pictures from the cleanup.

Service Project

Keep looking for children's lifejackets. Look in your closet if all your kids are grown and gone. Look at rummage sales, or ask Ron Kropp where he found the bag full he donated. The club voted to pursue building a life jacket kiosk for Long Lake county park. Our Board of Directors Memorandum of Agreement, as drafted, requires additional help in maintaining the Kiosk. Kitsap County Parks is looking for a partner for us that is willing to take on the maintenance of the kiosk once built. For more info go to the new Special Projects page, and volunteer.

Thanks Ron

Congratulations

Long Lake Bass Club has won the 2009 Achievement Award For Youth Activities from the Washington State Bass Federation. Accepting the award on our behalf was our own Dan Anderson. The award was presented at the WSBF annual awards banquet held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Spokane on the 7th of November. Special thanks to Dan for taking the time to write up all our activities and submitting us for consideration of our work with youth.

Stay Involved!

Long Lake Bass Club was established in 1975 as a grass roots political opposition to the poisoning of bass, by the Department of Wildlife.

It has evolved and attained a balance of: fellowship, fishing, education, activism and "being a part of the solution" through listening, learning and experience. We have learned about our states unique habitats and fishes, and will continue to protect our waters and fish. We have learned that a diversity of species is essential to healthy populations of all wildlife. They are intertwined with our existence. We will teach this as our heritage. Our "specie of preference" is no better or worse than yours, it is just a part of the big picture.
