Angler of the year is determined in accordance with the club constitution, Article 16. There are two divisions: Boater and Non-Boater.

Winners in each division will be determined by total weight of fish caught in Long Lake tournaments. Points will be awarded as follows: One (1) point per ounce for each qualifying fish, minus any penalties. (fish must be alive and viable for release)

Section 2. The Tournament Director shall be in charge of the Angler of the Year competition.

Section 3. In case of a tie in points, largest fish caught by weight during the competition period shall determine the winner.

Section 4. The member with the highest total of points in each division at the end of the tournament year shall be declared the winner of Angler of the Year, and shall receive an Angler of The Year shirt or chevron.
